Carbiforce micro boring bars are built for the small diameter internal work that standard bars simply cannot reach, from precision bushes and nozzle bores to instrument and medical components.
Ground from solid carbide with a fine cutting geometry, these bars hold size and finish in bores far below the range of a conventional insert bar. Rigidity is the whole point at this scale, so the shanks are made to resist deflection and the seating is ground for repeatable, accurate tip position.
Micro boring from Carbiforce covers:
- Small bore internal turning, back boring, grooving and threading options
- Solid carbide construction for minimum deflection at small diameters
- Fine finish geometries for tight tolerance and low Ra requirements
- Support from our engineers on speeds, feeds and depth of cut at micro scale
Small bore work punishes any weakness in tooling. Getting the bar right first removes most of the scrap before it is made. Talk to us about your bore diameter, depth and material and we will confirm the correct tool.
