Rigging training course is an instructor-led program which includes theory and practical components. The course adheres to Canadian Standards Association, American National Safety Institute, Occupational Health & Safety and Manufacture Specifications for the elements of the program. This training is applicable throughout Canada. The course is offered mobile at a client’s site or at our training facility. There are multiple work environments that require the lifting and moving of loads. To do this safely and effectively requires personnel to be trained in the use of rigging equipment, procedures and signals. The course provides participants with the most current best practices for this type of task. Crane rigging safety training course teaches employees the safe way to handle crane rigging and all the hazards associated with using cranes while at work. Cranes are used at many workplaces, across all major industries, to lift and move materials. Crane operators are generally trained and often certified in safe crane operations and inspection. However, many accidents involving cranes are caused by failures of crane rigging and rigging hardware. Employers must use qualified riggers during hoisting activities for assembly/disassembly work or whenever workers are within the fall zone and hooking, unhooking or guiding a load, or doing the initial connection of a load to a component or structure. We provide OSHA qualified rigging certification training by expert trainers to ensure you comply with OSHA guidelines. Rigger Level I certification covers simple rigging tasks. The Load weight, center of gravity and rigging configuration are known to the rigger by way of on-the-job training or rigging experience. A Certified Rigger Level I should be able to inspect the rigging before each use, have knowledge of hitch configurations and capacities, know common hazards, be able to signal operations, and feel comfortable using several different kinds of rigging equipment and hitches.Crane Safety & Rigger Course content:
